DSC_1331During the school holidays Dad had arranged to go testing to Aragon, Spain. Tom and Alan from Lime Green Racing had been talking about this all year so we were glad when it came off. We left Mold at 7AM on Friday to travel to Lime Green Racing depot as we were using there van as our truck is in the workshop. From there it was onto Portsmouth to get ferry to Santander.   After we docked we got through passport control and stopped to wait for LGR and SRS racing only to find LGR truck had a puncture! While we waited for the repair man, we slept in the services and at 6.00am we set off. At 12.00 we took a detour through Zaragoza thanks to LGR and 1 hour later we arrived at Aragon.

Dan’s dream was to come here and here we were riding around the Aragon kart track was twice the size of the tracks in Britain. There was a big track for the geared bike and a small track for the mini motos. Dan was testing his new Metrakit gp70 and messing about on his 4.2, Osian was testing his Metrakit gp 50 and 4.2 and Iwan rode a 5.5 inch pollini 4.2 and only done one day. The track is very grippy no crashes from JBRacing and all of our confidence was high. Dan had ridden on a big track before so the first day was spent setting bike up which wasn’t easy! Day 2 was better once we has fixed vibration problem. Osh was progressing well and had fun through all three days and Iwan is still learning but his not wobbling thanks to the osets.

After a great weeks riding its all over and time to head home. Dan has took to the 70 and big track with no problems, Osh continues to progress well on both bikes, Iwan was his normal happy self telling us all how he was ‘pinning it’. Thanks to all the adults for a memorable week, Alan for doing BBQ’s, Ibi and Beth for feeding us and the Dads for getting us there! I think they enjoyed it to…
